Liz Horvath is the founder of Hale Health and Safety Solutions Ltd., where she works with leaders to design workplaces that protect and support the people who power them. With nearly 30 years of experience — including 15 years specializing in psychological health and safety — her approach is grounded in occupational health and safety legislation, due diligence, and practical management systems integration.
Liz served as Project Manager with CSA Group, leading the development of the first edition of the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, and continues to serve as a technical committee member supporting the second edition. She has also worked with the Mental Health Commission of Canada as a psychological health and safety expert, contributing to national programs and resources used across the country.
Her background includes six years as a Senior Health and Safety Consultant with Gowling, a leading employment and labour law firm, supporting organizations across multiple sectors, as well as industry experience primarily in manufacturing and other high-pressure, unionized environments. Liz helps organizations identify hazards and assess risks that contribute to burnout and chronic stress, translating complex standards into practical actions that make work healthier and more sustainable for everyone.
