Françoise Mathieu

Executive Director, TEND

Françoise is a Registered Psychotherapist, specializing in compassion fatigue and secondary trauma. After working for over 20 years in community mental health, crisis intervention and the military, Françoise’s company TEND developed a training program in 2002 to help professionals recognize and manage the impact of working in high stress, trauma-exposed settings such as health care. This program has grown in size and scope since its early inception, and TEND is now present across North America, offering training and consulting to a wide variety of workplaces. Françoise has presented at the San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment, the International Symposium on Child Abuse in Alabama, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, the LAPD, the Chief Coroner’s Office of Ontario and many other agencies.
